Kitsap County, Washington State
Join the Washington Regency Society for an outing to Kitsap County on Saturday April 14, 2018
There are two separate events to choose from, you can do both or either.
At noon we will visit the Kitsap History Museum and learn from their exhibit “Stylish History: 100 Years of Women’s Accessories”. The museum is near the Bremerton Ferry dock at 280 4th Street in downtown Bremerton. Adult admission price to the museum is only 4 dollars, each visitor will pay their own admission fee.
That afternoon, the Grey House Café will welcome us to Afternoon Tea at 2:30 p.m. Washington Regency Society educators will prepare a small presentation on Women’s Accessories of the Regency Period to compliment the exhibition we just saw at the Kitsap History Museum.
The café is about a half hour’s drive away from downtown Bremerton around the Sinclair Inlet. If you are coming directly to Port Orchard from Seattle you also have the option of the Bremerton ferry or the Fauntleroy/Southworth ferry, if coming from Olympia or other places south you can travel over the Kitsap Peninsula on highway 101 or use the Tacoma Narrows bridge.
If after tea you still need more history you may travel to the antique store area of Port Orchard on Bay St.
We must pre-pay for our teas. The WRS 2018 member price is $20, non-member price is $25
Registration is closed for this event.
If you have any dietary restrictions please contact Treasurer @ waregency . org so we can check if the restaurant is able to accommodate those restrictions.
