  • Regency costumes!

We are working on some additional workshops that may have supplies fees, those details will be shared as we know them.

We will be housed in the Historic Inn building which was built in 1869 and the annex (connected).   Similar to European Pensiones, the toilet and bath facilities are shared and at the ends of the hall.

There are only a few rooms that can accommodate couples, most of the rooms have just one twin bed.  (If you are a couple and want to share a room, please make your deposit right away. )

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are included and supplied by the conference center in the attached Dining Hall.

Additionally, WRS will provide an afternoon tea set up with some small sweets and savories mid-afternoon in our sitting area.  You are invited to bring your Regency styled teacups or mugs from home for the afternoon teas.

What do I wear?

This is a great opportunity to wear your warm Regency clothing!  You made that Pelisse, Redingote or Great Coat – here is a chance to wear it.

What??  You say you haven’t made these warm outer garments but just needed a reason to do so?  Well, here is your inspiration!

Of course, the buildings are heated with modern furnaces, so these garments are not essential if they are not of interest to you personally.

Regency Era Day wear (dresses, coat, vest and and breeches, etc. will be admired throughout the day.

If you choose you may change to evening wear (fancy gowns or evening men’s wear) for after dark.

Some folks even enjoy wearing Regency era night clothes such as wrappers, dressing gowns, night robes, and Banyans.

As with all our events, Regency dress is more admired than required;  but we do ask folks to try to dress in Regency styles at the retreat to help foster the illusion that we have traveled back in time.  We do have a few loaner items as well as plenty of help with sourcing purchased items and recommendations for patterns and sewing.  Please contact any of the WRS board for help with costume questions.

There are many ways to get to Seabeck.  Some folks from the south may find it best to travel up US-101 from the Olympia, WA area eventually merging into WA-3. Others may find it easier to head to Tacoma and take the Narrows Bridge and WA-16 until it merges with WA-3.  Still others may take a ferry to cross the sound to reach WA-3 and eventually the Seabeck Hwy.  Please do your own research to find the best way for you to get to Seabeck based on your starting point!
