Our first dinner and ball event was a resplendent success. Since our first event at Lakewold Gardens, we knew we needed to host a formal evening experience. Gallucci’s Catering outdid themselves with our dinner. Our pianist, Anita Anderson played beautifully. Alan Winston, our esteemed caller from the San Francisco area, outdid himself with poise and grace. The evening was full of merriment and good company.
We learned the historical significance to the name “Twelfth Night” and experienced some of the traditions that went with the date. A king and queen were also crowned after finding a pea or bean in their cake! Some of us learned and practiced Whist in the library, where most of us learned English Country dancing. We look forward to continuing this new learning to future events!
